About Us

The Curry County Promotional Alliance was formed in May of 2008, in collaboration with the Curry County Economic and Community Development Department, with the goal of furthering tourism and the quality recognition of products, services and destinations in the county.

We'd like to brand Curry County as "Quality": Quality experience, quality destination, quality products, quality people, quality service…...quality, quality, quality!  The Curry County Promotional Alliance has identified many goals which will be implemented over the next few years, one of which is this interactive website promoting Curry County as “Quality." This site offers a unique experience to its visitors - everything from planning a quality itinerary of Curry County destinations to seeing and learning about all of our Quality products, services, destinations and experiences.            

This website is geared for the visitor who is looking to experience Curry County. Additionally, it will be an invaluable resource to the local community, connecting cities, events and area happenings. The site promises a dynamic visitor experience to all who explore it. One of the questions we frequently get asked is “How does another tourism site enhance our local economy?” The economy worldwide is now making an increased demand for experiences, in addition to the traditional goods and services sectors. An entire industry is emerging around providing experiences to consumers. Recent trends in travel demography and behavior are driving the rising demand for nature-oriented tourism and adventure travel among North American travelers.  Curry County already has all the features that these destination travelers are looking for. In addition to offering these experiences to traveler, Curry County offers unique products and services, which this site will promote. The county-wide event calendar will serve several purposes to locals and visitors alike. A potential visitor to the area could plan their entire itinerary based on the contents of the sites calendar by options they choose. i.e., selecting nature-based experiences would create an itinerary of experiences from north to south county. Additionally, this site is a non-profit, non-advertising, non-member website; all requests for specific business or local information is linked to the pertinent chambers, visitor centers or direct links to businesses and organizations.  The intention of this site is not to recommend the quality of any specific business, product or service, but to list the choices available to the public to make their own decisions.

New business opportunities are created through tourism. Once Curry County emerges as a cultural destination, new business ventures would be in demand to provide those nature based experiences. Oregon is a leader in sustainable business; visitors to our area often refer to us as clean, green and friendly.  We are also avid stewards of our environment, and it shows.

The Curry County Promotional Alliance plans to make the most of our opportunities for a rich and robust traveler destination experience through collaborations with local and regional partners, finding the fit for Curry County’s place in tourism, making our area come alive to the visitor, focusing on quality and preserving and protecting our county.
