Quaint shops, gifts and locally made products are easy to find in Curry County.  You're sure to see beach-themed souvenirs, hand-crafted myrtlewood products, clothing, fine art, and just about anything else you want.  Here are the links to the local Chambers of Commerce for lists of stores in the area where you want to shop:

Antiquing - Whether you're just window shopping or a serious antique hound, you'll find plenty of opportunities to locate past treasures.

Art Galleries - There are many talented artists living on the coast, and you are sure to find some of their best artwork featured at the local art galleries.  You can tour the galleries on your own, or join monthly art walk tours with other art enthusiasts.

Animal Companions - If you're shopping for an animal companion, you'll no doubt find a warm furry best friend to adopt at the Curry County Animal Shelter in Gold Beach, or the South Coast Humane Society in Brookings.  If you're looking for something other than a cat or dog, you'll also find pet stores in Brookings that offer fish, reptiles, birds, and other small animals.

Enjoy a day at a Spa - A sanctuary of harmony and healing where people can come to rejuvenate physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  Curry County offers several opportunities for a relaxing massage, sauna, skin rejuvenation and more.

Fabrics, Crafts and Quilting shops - If your hobby is making your own clothing, crafts or quilts, there are several shops throughout the county where you can buy your materials.  See where the locals shop for beautiful fabrics.

Farmers' Markets - Enjoy fresh produce at one of our many local farmers' markets.  You'll find outdoor markets on a weekly basis from spring until fall, and even indoor markets during the winter.

Geocaching - A high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices.  The basic idea is to locate hidden containters outdoors, called geocaches, and then share your experiences online.  Currently there are 237+ treasures in Curry County.  Learn more on their website here.

Mall shopping - There are several indoor and outdoor malls throughout the county for your one-stop shopping pleasure.  The newest indoor mall is the beautiful Gold Rush Center in Gold Beach, where you'll find art galleries, a day spa, locally made skincare products, a gymnastics center, a public meeting facility, a sushi restaurant, a real estate company, the Chamber of Commerce and more in the process of opening.  In Harbor, you'll find several outdoor malls with an extensive variety of shops, such as the Brookings-Harbor Shopping Center, the South Coast Shopping Center and the English Village Shoppes.  There is something for everyone here.

Myrtlewood Shops - The wood of the locally grown Myrtle tree is used to make a variety of unique products including miniature lighthouses, gun stocks, bowls, clocks, jewelry, and more.  Visit a local myrtlewood shop and ask for a tour of their workshop.

Port of Brookings-Harbor Boardwalk - You can spend a day strolling along the boardwalk filled with gift shops, clothing stores, and restaurants featuring local foods. Visit their website.

Port of Gold Beach Shops - Visit this port where you'll find quaint shops, an art gallery, fine dining, a gourmet coffee shop, jet boat rides, views of the ocean, wildlife spotting, and other outdoor recreation. Visit their website.

Port of Port Orford - The new high dock at this port is a wonder to see.  This dock is home to several dozen commercial and sport vessels, a fish processing plant, wholesale fish buyers, a charter company and dive shop, a snack bar and gift shop, and the offices of the Port. Visit their website.

Rummage Markets - If you're a bargain shopper for pre-owned items, you'll find several rummage markets throughout the year that benefit charitable organizations.  The granddaddy of them all is The Hospice Marketplace in Gold Beach, which puts on an annual Rummage Market in the summer -  the largest of its kind on the Oregon coast.  A bargain hunter's dream!

Taste local spirits - Curry County has 2 spirit distilleries, Brandy Peak and Superfly Distilling,  dedicated to the art of creating fine brandy, vodka, whiskey, gin, and rum.  Each distillery offers tasting rooms open to the public and an opportunity to purchase their products onsite.  For detailed information see our Local Products Showcase.
